DESCRIPTION:🗺️ May 2025 Mapathon: Mapping Makurdi\, Nigeria\nJoin us this May for our national Mapathon focused on Mapping Makurdi\, the capital of Benue State in north-central Nigeria. This initiative supports the creation of detailed and up-to-date OpenStreetMap (OSM) data for urban planning\, disaster preparedness\, and sustainable development efforts in the region. \nWe are working on Project #815 on the OSM Tasking Manager\, which aims to digitize key features such as buildings\, roads\, and other critical infrastructure in Makurdi and its surrounding communities. \nWhether you’re a beginner or experienced mapper\, your contribution will help put Makurdi on the map and support local efforts to improve service delivery\, resilience\, and accessibility. \n🧭 Tools:  JOSM or iD Editor🕒 Date: Throughout May 2025🌍 Target Area: Makurdi Urban and Peri-Urban Settlements🙋‍♂️ Who Can Join?
