Map Nigeria Monthly Mapathon Campaign

🗺️ May 2025 Mapathon: Mapping Makurdi, Nigeria

Join us this May for our national Mapathon focused on Mapping Makurdi, the capital of Benue State in north-central Nigeria. This initiative supports the creation of detailed and up-to-date OpenStreetMap (OSM) data for urban planning, disaster preparedness, and sustainable development efforts in the region.

We are working on Project #815 on the OSM Tasking Manager, which aims to digitize key features such as buildings, roads, and other critical infrastructure in Makurdi and its surrounding communities.

Whether you’re a beginner or experienced mapper, your contribution will help put Makurdi on the map and support local efforts to improve service delivery, resilience, and accessibility.
